		<description>Sorry to hear that.  But he might surprise you.   Last year our cat - also a perpetual indoor cat, no street smarts, and while not 18 or deaf, no spring chicken at 14 - disappeared in the middle of winter when there was freezing rain.  Was gone over 24 hours.  We left the garage door open just enough for him to get in if he came home, and put his bed and a water bowl just inside, and the next day there he was.  So don&#039;t write him off yet.
