And the men who killed them were not, as in their vanity they claimed on their ludicrous videos, ‘soldiers’. They were deluded, narcissistic inadequates. They were criminals. They were fantasists. We need to be very clear about this. On the streets of London, there is no such thing as a ‘war on terror’, just as there can be no such thing as a ‘war on drugs’.

Think about that: who wants you to be afraid? These ‘inadequates’ or the people who want you to think about them all the time? They are the terrorists.

I’m interested to see what innovative techniques you develop for this endeavor…
I doubt I’ll innovate, so much as persevere and [cue patriotic music] ultimately prevail.
I think it will be all about chunking it into the smallest manageable bits, to make it less daunting and prevent backsliding (oh, do we know about backsliding).
