Welcome, visitors from SlashDot! The shirts from Giant Robot Printing are really nice, if you want to take the message to the streets.

Lessig and Tweedy on Downloading:

I’m with Meg: “What about a bumper sticker that says, ‘Your failed business model is not my problem’?

Businessmodel-Sticker

I have some T-Shirt art as well.

<update> I am putting swag up here [http://www.cafepress.com/crankyproducts] @ no markup, since the remixing is not really mine.
<further update @ 4:30 pm> 9 subscribers to the Creative Commonist way of thinking have scored 17 items. This is fun.

If you want a red or yellow shirt (and I know you do), I have sent the artwork to the nice people at Giant Robot Printing: so head over there and order away.

<update 4/16> And here’s the artwork as a PNG file if you want it: let me know where it turns up. Businessmodel-Art

This is up at boingboing.com and I just posted it to the Yahoo SCOXE BB.

    Start printing them up.

this is fab. a great modern t-shirt that’s funny, pointed and not too cute. (but kinda cute)

  5. Schpok Apr 12, 2005 09:52

T-shirts are a great idea for an eff fund raiser!

  6. a35mmlife Apr 12, 2005 10:11

ooooh… how do we get a shirt!?

  7. Curioso Apr 12, 2005 10:58

What about a more revolutionary look?

    Oy.
Your “failed buisness model” graphic is hot on it’s own. But you went and ruined it by treating the whole square like a logo (???) and putting it on a white tee.
    hideous.
    awful.

Just get rid of the maroon bg and put it on a maroon shirt.
    Blllllleeccchhhh.

  9. Calvin Lawson Apr 12, 2005 12:11

Can we get this on a full orange shirt? That’d be great.

Awesome, but as a picky designer I have one question–any chance of yellow on a solid red shirt, instead of yellow in a red square on white?

  13. Subliminal Fusion Apr 12, 2005 13:28

I would buy one of these in a heartbeat if the shirt was all red. As it is, it looks kinda odd with the big red square in the middle of the shirt.

  14. Branko Collin Apr 12, 2005 13:50

the remixing is not really mine

    Er, so whose is it?

the remix is mine, but I didn’t feel I added much: I don’t feel like I really did anything but combine things that wanted to be together.

  15. Dave Apr 12, 2005 13:53

How about an all-red T-shirt? No offense, but those ones look pretty silly.

  16. Nick Apr 12, 2005 15:11

    Heh, that’s cool. Pity the t-shirt isn’t red though…

    Hi

So communism is…What? Not sick and responsible for mass murder, torture, and starvation, but rather a cute device for bumper sticker design?

Um, you might want to look into the context: it was Bill Gates, that noted expert in history and politics, who claimed that anyone who remixes or gives away anything is, by definition, a communist. And he meant it like it was a bad thing.

  19. rigel Apr 12, 2005 16:25

i’d certainly buy one (or a couple, for friends, even) but im reluctant to do so from cafepress. also, id prefer that the entire t-shirt be red. maybe i’ll print up some of my own, who knows….

  21. tara Apr 13, 2005 11:05

you should get it printed in yellow on a red tshirt (it looks funny with a big square!)

  22. Andrew Apr 13, 2005 13:45

Any chance of getting it in all red? I’d buy an all-red t-shirt.

  23. Will Irace Apr 13, 2005 19:49

Outstanding. The moment you offer a red shirt with the yellow graphic (the white background/red square bugs me) I’ll place my order.

    Cheers,

    –W

  24. ian Apr 13, 2005 21:00

    awesome awesome awesome!

im ordering one as soon as i can!
