other stuff to look at

I have some other odds and ends here that might be of use to someone besides myself.

In another life, when I was employed, ie before the dotcom bubble burst, I built infrastructure monitoring tools for websites, notably CNN.com and it’s affiliated sites. Alas, I lost the copy of all the work I had done there in a disk crash a few months back, but I have started looking at the stuff on my home network as grist for the mill.
I do all the monitoring, graphing and plotting locally, then ftp it across to my provider (mindspring.com). So you can find it here or there.
I am also documenting my home network, but that’s going pretty slowly: partly because I’m not all that thrilled with how it’s set up and am reluctant to document something I don’t think is all that great and partly because like so many others, I don’t much care for documenting stuff.
